The elusive Tax Ninja mastermind is Matthew T. Whatley, Esq. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law and a Bachelors of Science in Social History and Japanese Language from Carnegie Mellon University, with additional coursework at Keio University in Tokyo and Mahidol University in Bangkok. Mr. Whatley serves as the Chief Financial Officer of www.couchsurfing.com and is dedicated to helping the Oakland Opera Theater. His love of good food, beautiful art, and exotic travel knows no bound.

Mr. Whatley is licensed by the California Bar Association.
